People cannot handle when an artist changes and evolves or God forbid wants to do something different. This why artists and their fans will always have a weird romance if you will. Some fans may fall out of love with who you turn out to be because they don’t get what it took to get there. I don’t necessarily care for some of the subject matter but I fully understand evolution and experimentation as an artist. Janelle is talented period.

Honestly, I love her as an actress but never listened to any of her albums and I really have been missing out! This album is so smooth and empowering! I mean, no skips for real! The cultural influences really pulled me in. I loved it so much I bought it on vinyl!! And also listened to her previous albums, all great! I’m officially obsessed!❤️
